Well, kids.  I'm hitting this duck again, kind of like a revival, 'cause I'm kooky like that.  Hehee.

here's the "rules"

4 line stanza
Rhyming?  Ok.
Now go!

Avast the light I've quit this night
I see towards the end of your plight
That existence revolves the bloody fight
Na'er the world to brave this fickle light.

(Now have at, ye crikey bargain ballot basket bread butterers!  Arrrrgh.)

Nice job zombie man Grin

Hm. Like this?

Goethe Stanza

A very different poetry form than most poets are used to, is the Goethe Stanza.
With this one each stanza comprises of a single line, a couplet and a single line.
Each single line rhymes with a line from the couplet, one starting and one
completing the stanza. Here is the suggested pattern, there is no set meter:

x x x x x x x a

x x x x x x x b
x x x x x x x a

x x x x x x x b

A Witch's Looking Glass by me

Feed the Willow with offerings of pig and pearl;

old woman smells of wet wool, where spirits dwell.
She breathes the air of worship as scrying mirrors swirl,

night's memory warms her skin with secrets she'll never tell.
